How PRP Supports Hair Health
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is a concentration of your own platelets, derived from a small blood sample. It contains growth factors that stimulate cell repair, tissue regeneration, and — when injected into the scalp — hair follicle activity.
Because PRP comes from your own blood, it's very well tolerated and carries minimal risk of allergic reaction. It's a popular non-surgical option for patients experiencing thinning hair or reduced density who want to support their hair health without medication or surgery.
PRP is also widely recommended as a maintenance treatment after hair transplant surgery to support graft survival and optimize results.
Who This Treatment Is For
What to Expect
Consultation & Assessment
Irina reviews your hair loss history, current concerns, and goals. She'll assess your scalp and hair density, discuss whether you're a good candidate for PRP, and outline a recommended treatment plan — including how many sessions you may need.
Blood Draw & PRP Preparation
A small blood sample is drawn and placed in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma. This takes about 10 minutes. Because PRP comes from your own blood, it's very well tolerated.
Scalp Injections
The concentrated PRP is injected into the scalp in the areas of thinning or concern. A topical numbing agent is applied for comfort. The injections target the hair follicles to stimulate activity and support growth.
Results & Maintenance
Results are gradual — most patients notice improved hair density and reduced shedding over 3–6 months. A series of sessions is typically recommended for best results, followed by periodic maintenance treatments.
